World of Good
Thank you for helping Galena rebuild after the historic 2013 Memorial Day Flood. All of our families were able to move back to Galena by October 2014, so we’re happy to have everyone home. Thank you also for your contributions to
Galena Rebuilders
who helped fund all sorts of projects in the rebuilding of our community.
90% of homes were damaged, but we are thankful there were no casualties, even during the tumultuous evacuation. A FEMA rep said that the Galena devastation and recovery is the most challenging they’ve ever seen. It was a big mess, and the harsh winter made for short rebuilding seasons.
Special thanks to the many organizations who joined us in rebuilding our community:
Changepoint, AmeriCorps, UMVIM, Baxter Road Bible Church, Cornerstone Church, FEMA, SBA, Galena City School District, Missionary Aviation Repair Center, Peninsula Power Sports, Samaritan’s Purse, Kingdom AirCorps, Chapel by the Sea, Petra Church of Salinas, Faith Bible Fellowship of Big Lake, The Gathering Place of Pineville Louisiana, Fairhill Community Church of God in Fairbanks
And I’m sure there are more groups and individuals… HUGE thanks to all of you!
